A THOUSAND YEARS

completion of God's work)

the church age)

Ki 20:13 And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying,
Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude?
behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day;
and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. 1 Ki 20:14 And Ahab said, By
whom? And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Even by the young men of the
princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he
answered, Thou. 1 Ki 20:15 Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the
provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he
numbered all the people, even all the
children of Israel, being seven
thousand.
1 Ki 19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.
Rom
11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an
Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Rom 11:2 God
hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture
saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Rom
11:3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am
left alone, and they seek my life. Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God
unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand
men, who have not bowed the knee to the image
of Baal. Rom 11:5 Even
so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election
of grace.
Job
1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man
was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Job 1:2 And
there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. Job 1:3 His substance
also was seven thousand sheep,
and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she
asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the
men of the east.
Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. Rev 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. Rev 11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
THOUSAND YEARS
Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly
pardon. Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your
thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Cor 2:16 For who hath known the mind of
the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind
of Christ. (Gen - Rev)

The phrase 1000yrs is used 10x's in the bible, this study is an exhausted study on the phase in order to come to a Biblical harmonious understanding. This study is key on how we would interpret end time prophesy and if we go astray here we will end up with a groundless understanding of the end time events and there spiritual truths.

Eccl
6:3 If a man beget an hundred
children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his
soul be not filled with good, and also that he
have
no burial; I say, that an
untimely birth is better than he.[4]
For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name
shall be covered with darkness.[5] Moreover
he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing: this hath more rest than the
other.[6] Yea, though he live a thousand years
twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
his
soul be not filled with good
Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,Eph 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
have
no burial
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into
death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Rom 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Rom 6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Rom 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
an
untimely birth is better
Job 3:16 .. as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as
infants which never saw light.
Psa 58:8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
yet
hath he seen no good
Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but
one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
a thousand years
twice told,
The
new testament era = approx 2000 years;
2 (number
of the church) x 1000 (reign of the
word, Christ, of God) = 2000yrs.
These verses speak of a man who
was blessed with long life and children but his
soul is not nourished with the word, nor buried with Christ by baptism
onto death so that he might walk in newness of life. And that he would have been
better off being aborted at birth (untimely birth) then to be born empty and
depart in darkness. Then God said that even if he were to live two thousand
years a thousand years twice told, the length of
time of the new testament era, he still would not become saved. The
phrase "do not all go to one place" in light of the rest of the bible
we must conclude that the "all" must be understood to mean all those
who are unsaved (all exclusive) It can not mean that all go to the grave for two
reasons. First the contents is not talking about the physical grave and secondly
there are some on the last day who will be changed in the twinkling of an eye
who will not taste physical death nor physically be put in a grave.

a
watch in the night
Luke
12:37 Blessed
are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching:
verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to
meat, and will come forth and serve them. Luke 12:38
And if he shall come in the second
watch, or come in the third
watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. Luke 12:39
And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the
thief would come, he
would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken
through.
In these verses God relates a thousand years as a day and as a watch in the night. The second watch is the church age (the early rain, Pentecost) 2nd millennium; the third watch is little season (the latter rain, go ye out to meet Him) 3rd millennium.

2 Pet 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 Pet 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 2 Pet 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 2 Pet 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 2 Pet 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 2 Pet 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 2 Pet 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Pet 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count lackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,[12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.[14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. [15] And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;[16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. [17] Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.[18] But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
In second Peter 3 God tells us not to be ignorant on how He explains time "that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day". He is telling us not to look at this phase as a literal meaning of a thousand years. He then tells us of the end of the world and that on the day of Gods return he will destroy this world by fire (judgment day) "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." He then sums up with the seriousness of misinterpreting, particularly of these things, "speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness." He then concludes with, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.", another words study diligently the word of God making your calling and election sure and praying God to open our spiritual eyes and guide us in all truth.
Rev
20:1 And I saw an angel come down
from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his
hand.[2] And he laid hold on the
dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound
him a thousand years,[3]
And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal
upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more,
till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he
must be loosed a little season.[4] And
I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and
I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,
and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his
image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands;
and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand
years.[5] But the
rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand
years were finished. This is the first resurrection. [6]
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such
the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ,
and shall reign with him a thousand years.[7]
And when the thousand years are
expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, [8]
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of
the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom
is as the sand of the sea. [9] And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and
compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down
from God out of heaven, and devoured them. [10]
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day
and night for ever and ever. [11] And I saw a great white throne, and him that
sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was
found no place for them. [12] And I
saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and
another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out
of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13]
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of
fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was
cast into the lake of fire.
Satan is bound a thousand years, figurative of the church age (reigning over the land flowing w/ milk & honey) just under two thousand years then he is loosed for "a little season" (the third watch), the latter rain.
